Overview

Cloud Clip is a temporary, login-free file and text sharing utility. You can share files and text by uploading them and receiving a 6-digit code, which anyone can use to access the shared content. No account, email, or personal information is required to use this service.

What Data We Store

• Files — uploaded files are stored securely in Supabase Storage, an encrypted cloud storage provider.
• Text content — shared text and links are stored in a Supabase Postgres database.
• Clip metadata — a 6-digit code, creation timestamp, and expiry timestamp are stored to manage clip lifecycles.

Automatic Deletion

All shared content — files and text — is automatically and permanently deleted when the user-selected expiry time is reached. Expiry durations range from 10 minutes to 3 days. Once expired, the data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.

Analytics & Local Storage

We use Google Analytics to monitor aggregate traffic patterns such as page views and geographic distribution. Google Analytics may use cookies to collect anonymous usage data. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

We also use your browser's localStorage to manage UI states such as dismissed announcements. This data never leaves your device.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell, share, or monetize user-uploaded files or text.
• We do not read, analyze, or scan uploaded content.
• We do not collect emails, names, or personal identifiers.
• We do not use tracking pixels or third-party ad networks.
